What is Cossack Spas? Cossack Spas is a living ancient martial magical
system, whose creation predates religion, and whose goal is to teach the
practitioner different methods of occult warfare. Spas, short from spasenie
(спасенье) is literally translated as saving, which means that it is intended to
aid the magician in completely obliterating the enemy and surviving by any
means possible. Yet only few on this planet are aware of this secret and exotic
teaching, which stems directly from the shamanic traditions of the primeval aeon, opening doors to atavistic power.
The few remaining teachers state that Spas is by no means a religious, cultural or national tradition - it is of a purely territorial origin . The land itself provides a portal to an intense magical energy, from which the adepts draw their power. It is not surprising, since everyone knows that the land, on which the Slavic tribes settled breathes of mystique. That is precisely because Siberia is the birthplace of Shamanism. Spas practitioners are not from Siberia, but from different areas of Ukraine, and they state that people, living in different parts of the country have varying energetic systems.
Two important qualities of a Spas practitioner are the ability to think as fast as possible and to be able to react swiftly and without the opponents notice. Another key component is the ability to subdue fear. It’s not, however, a sport. Meant to be used in a battlefield, with weaponized intent of killing the opponent. It teaches many techniques, which cross over with the traditional shamanic teachings of the natives. Animalistic spirit possession. The projection of psychokinetic energy outside of the body with the intent of delivering a striking blow to the aetheric body of the opponent. Astral projection and remote viewing. Healing the body from diseases in the spiritual realm and spellwork to shield the practitioner from harm.
The cosmology of Spas is incredibly curious and it resolves around the
fact that the universe is densely populated by different spirits, but advocates the practitioner not to worry about them, reminding us that the Human is the most powerful of all the creatures. Possessing the gift of thought, the body is a
stem, on which nine powerful entities dwell together - the Silver Man (the
shining), Daz, Malka, Sak, Vol, Hor, Kalen, Tar and Shwak.
The ones who don’tsurpass the human in power, one can control, the last tree one can only consult, as it is in no man’s mind to control them. The entities will help if they agree with the operators wish, and will ignore him if he don’t - sometimes they might even punish him. If one asks them to do something truly disgusting, something that breaks both the human and the stellar laws, they will make the person weak, vulnerable and leave him to his own demise.
It is safe to say that Spas is definitely a surviving shamanic tradition, and it shares a lot in common with the spiritual sciences of the Nordics and the Hindus - such as the concept of Kundalini, the aura (seen as a flower, that can either open or close its petals), chakras and the concept of gods who express themselves as prime aspects of the Human. With the whole being serving as connection of all aspects of reality in a single form.
An all-permeating being who is in itself the totality of existence on which its aspects play out their respective roles.
